21st Century CHAMPS News

Mason Creek  is proud to offer the 21st Century CCLC After School Program CHAMPS GRANT  again this year. Students are recommended by their teacher and must meet  criteria in order to be accepted to participate. Students will be re-evaluated each year to determine participation status in the program.  This Program is by invitation only and spaces are limited.

The 21st Century Program is Monday-Friday from 2:30 to 5:15 PM.  We are asking all parents for their continued support by ensuring that your child attends the program every day. Transportation will be provided home each afternoon . Bus transportation will be provided to all who live within the MAES district.  Car riders will need to be picked up by 5:15 pm.

Students are involved in numerous activities throughout the week, which include  blocks of academic enrichment instruction in Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, Science  PE, and Reading. They also participate in enrichment activities which may include PE, Dance, Life Skills, Music, Art  and Agriculture.

Parents of these students are required to attend at least 3 parent meetings during the school year. These meetings can include 21st Century Parent Meetings, 21st Century Parent /Student Activities, PTO meetings, Teacher/Parent conferences, School Events, scheduled parent informational meetings, Google Meet online activities/meetings , take home family fun activities and special student performances.

*Just a reminder that if you have transportation changes please send in a note to school with your child to be turned into the office first thing that morning so that changes in transportation can be made.  If it is an unexpected change calls must be made BEFORE 1:30 pm to the front office @770-651-4901.
