Inclement Weather

Inclement Weather: Lesson Plans for students
Posted on 01/10/2019

Douglas County School System works to be prepared in the case of inclement weather.   We are launching an online learning platform for the days that students and teachers are not able to make it in.

Check your homeroom teacher's page under quick links to download the plans for these days.

Many teachers will give assignments through Education Galaxy, myOn Reader, and other resources. All of these activities can be accessed through Clever. When students visit this site, choose login as a student, enter school name, and then 'login with Clever'.  The student login is the same as they use during the school day:

Username:
first initial last initial, lunch number (no spaces between)    Example: kf123456

Password:
6-digit Birthday
Example: 072010

Teachers will be available via school email or Class Dojo from 9:00am - 2:00pm on these days.  Students will have three days to complete the assignments.  If you do not have access to a computer or the internet, paper and pencil assignments will be given upon returning to school.  These students will also be given three days for completion.

Don't forget your special areas!  Check the web pages of Coach Hurley (PE), Mrs. Leitz (Art), Ms. Robbins (Music) and Mrs. Anthony (STEM) for activities they have assigned.  If you are an ESOL student, Mrs. Jones has provided assignments, as well.  In addition, our counselor has provided lessons regarding career choice.  You can access these lessons on Mrs. Shealey’s webpage, as well as the Counseling page.

Happy Learning!
