Teacher of the Year: Mrs. Mandi Slatton

Mrs. Mandi Slatton named TEACHER OF THE YEAR for 2020-21!

Mrs. Mandi Slatton has been named the 2020-21 Teacher of the Year for Mason Creek Elementary School!

Mrs. Slatton graduated from the State University of West Georgia in May of 2002.  She earned a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.  She began teaching in Carroll County, where she taught fourth and fifth grade.  After taking a year off to be a full-time mom, Mrs. Slatton taught at a private Pre-K for seven years.  During that time, she completed her Gifted Endorsement at North Georgia College.
In the fall of 2015,  Mrs. Slatton returned to public education at Mason Creek Elementary.  Here at MAES, she has taught kindergarten and first grade. 
Mrs. Slatton will be moving up to second grade for the 2020-21 school year.
