⏳📚 The countdown is on, Wolf Cubs! 📚⏳
This is the last week to log for the October Beanstack Challenge! 🐺
🏆 Last month, Mrs. Sweeney’s and Mrs. Farray’s classes won the Beanstack Cup! Which class will take the cup this month by having the most students read 300 minutes, or if all students log then we'll go to the class with the most minutes logged?
📖 How many students will reach their 300-minute goal and earn a brag tag? 🏷️
🎂 How many will go all the way to 400 minutes and earn a Nothing Bundt Cakes certificate for a free bundlet?
Let’s finish strong! We hope all our Wolf Cubs are logging their 20 minutes each night! 💙

What an incredible day at the Creek! 🐾💗
Today, our Wolf Cubs and staff decked out in pink to show our support for everyone, and especially members of our Wolf Cub family, who have been affected by breast cancer. 🎀
We also held a parade for our amazing principal, Mrs. Martin, so our students and staff could say thank you for everything she does for our school. 👏🌟
To top off the day, some of our 1st graders planted strawberry plants with Mrs. Anthony in STEM! 🍓🌱 The plants were generously donated earlier this week, and we can’t wait to watch them grow.
We’re ready for the week ahead as we kick off Red Ribbon Week and all the fun it will bring! ❤️

🦯✨ White Cane Awareness Walk ✨🦯
Yesterday, students, families, and educators gathered at Douglasville First United Methodist Church for Cam’s Vision White Cane Day Walk! 💙
What is White Cane Day? It celebrates the independence of people who are blind or visually impaired and honors the white cane as a symbol of that independence.
It was a wonderful time celebrating our Wolf Cubs and all other Douglas County students (including many MAES alums) who navigate the world with a white cane, and an opportunity for those of us who don’t use them to walk in their footsteps. We were truly honored to celebrate these amazing students!
Thank you to everyone who came out to show your support. 🐾

🍓🌱 A Big Thank You from Mason Creek Elementary! 🌱🍓
A huge thank you to UGA Extension Services and Douglas County Master Gardeners for their generous gift to our school! Today, Marjorie Stansel from the Douglas County Master Gardeners delivered a flat of strawberry plants along with fertilizer so our Wolf Cubs can grow their very own strawberries! 🐺
We can’t wait to watch them grow and for our Wolf Cubs to enjoy the fruits of their labor, literally! 🍓
Thank you, Marjorie, Master Gardeners, and UGA Extension Services, for helping our students learn, grow, and get their hands dirty! 💚

🍎✨ Did you know October is National Principals Month?! ✨🍎
As we head into a break, there is no one who deserves rest and relaxation more than our amazing principal, Mrs. Martin! 💙
She is there for our students, parents, teachers, and staff every single day, always jumping in wherever she’s needed and doing whatever it takes to support our Wolf Cubs and our school community. 🐺📚
Mrs. Martin, thank you for your leadership, your dedication, and for all you do each and every day! We hope you enjoy a well-deserved break! 💙

🐺✨ Okay, we'll say it: our Wolf Cubs are pretty awesome! ✨🐺
We try not to brag... but when your students are this kind, curious, and hardworking, it's hard to keep quiet! Every day at Mason Creek, we get to watch them read, create, problem-solve, and lift each other up. 💙
Proud doesn't even begin to cover it. Thank you, Wolf Cub families, for sharing these amazing kids with us!

🌟 Growing in Independence! 🌟
Our 2nd graders have been busy learning independence since the start of the school year! 🐺 They're completing classwork and small group work on their own, and they're even mastering swinging with no one pushing them! 🛝
These Wolf Cubs are also navigating their student portals and online platforms with very little assistance. 💻 We're so proud of how far they've come, and we can't wait to see them continue to grow in this area, as well as many others, this year! 🎉
