🏀 DCEF 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament
The Dville 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament is being proudly hosted by the Douglas County Education Foundation (DCEF) — a nonprofit that raises funds and resources to enhance educational opportunities for students in the Douglas County School System.
This youth basketball tournament is more than a game — it’s a celebration of community, school spirit, and student achievement. Proceeds from the event will support innovative classroom initiatives, teacher grants, and student scholarships across the county.

Yesterday was full of discoveries and creativity! 🌍 In Science, Mrs. Nicolas' class learned how landforms are formed, and in ELA, they put pen to paper practicing their cursive handwriting. ✍️ Our Wolf Cubs are building knowledge AND skills!

🌟 Big Day in Mr. Lockett's 5th Grade Language Arts Class! 🌟
Today was full of excitement as our 5th graders kicked off the school year with two huge milestones! 📚 They had their Library Orientation and checked out their very first books of the year, sparking new adventures and stories to explore! ✨
But that’s not all... They also had their first lesson in cursive writing! 🖋️ The penmanship is already looking impressive! 😎
We can’t wait to see how far they’ve come by May! The year is just getting started, and we’re in for some amazing growth. 🚀

Douglas County families can now apply for free and reduced-price school meals through the district's online application system.
The application process opens today and uses the SchoolCafe mobile app available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Parents and guardians can create an account, select "Apply for Benefits" and follow the step-by-step instructions to complete their application.

We had a fantastic time at the Douglas County Loves Literacy Pop-Up at Clinton Park tonight! 🌳📚
Even as the storm rolled through ⛈️, the fun didn’t stop — we got to hear DCSS Police Chief Williams read Giraffes Can’t Dance, and every family went home with their own copy! 🦒🎶📖
🍦 Plus, the Polar Patrol van brought the sweetest surprise — ice cream for everyone!
