Welcome to the CHAMPS 21st CCLC

We are thrilled to have the CHAMPS 21st CCLC available for our students this year. We are looking forward to helped our students reach higher levels through projects based learning that supports our school's mission and vision.

21st Century Community in Schools Learning Center Overview: Wolf Pack

**For questions or concerns in relation to program spending or suspected misappropriation of these federal dollars, please contact the Douglas County School System finance office or call 770.651.2262.

The purpose of the 21st CCLC is to establish or expand after school programs that provide students with academic enrichment opportunities, along with activities designed to complement each student's regular academic program.

The Program provides:

  • Highly qualified teachers and paraprofessionals
  • Nutritional snacks
  • Homework assistance/tutoring (between 30-40 minutes per day)
  • Math; reading; science; social studies; and writing assistance and remediation
  • Structured physical education
  • Character education
  • Hands on math, reading, science, and social studies enrichment centers
  • Transportation within District

Wolf Pack is a program that assists children with more than homework. Enrichment, tutoring, and social interaction is offered. The hours of the program are 3:15-5:15 daily. Students must be in attendance each day for the duration of the program. Absences will require an excuse, and a conference will be required for excessive absences. A student may be removed from the program for excessive and consecutive absences.

The 21st CCLC grant is not a drop-in program. Students must be in attendance every week for the entire year. The program has a limited number of slots and enrollment is by invitation only, based on academic needs identified by the teacher.

Parents will be required to attend 4 parent sessions before the end of the school year. Several surveys will be sent home during the year. We ask that you complete and return the surveys to the school. More importantly, please communicate with the 21st CCLC Teacher if you have any concerns or celebrations to share about your student.
