Mason Creek Elementary Campus STEM Vision & Learner Profile

The STEM student effectively collaborates and communicates ideas and solutions with peers using critical thinking, creativity, and logical reasoning. The STEM student constructs innovative ideas, plans investigations, and analyzes data using scientific and math principles to find solutions in authentic learning experiences. At the end of the STEM journey, the MAES student analyzes real world problems, engages in critical thinking skills and applies them with confidence.  


Campus STEM Goals:

1. Teachers will integrate subjects and incorporate engineering practices across the curriculum by completing at least two engineering or project based activities by May 2023. 

2. Teachers will embed technology such as Google classroom, ClassWorks, Nearpod, Pear Deck, Brain Pop Jr., and other technology based programs weekly in the classroom as measured by lesson plans through May 2023. 

3. Teachers will encourage student collaboration with frequent opportunities for hands-on problem-based learning as measured by lesson plans and observations by May 2023.
